Vintage Makeover

The following pieces of jewelry are each one-of-a-kind and can not be reproduced. Each necklace or earring consists of a vintage component or a vintage pendant purchased at an auction or estate sale and has been refashioned into a new keepsake piece of jewelry.

If you have a piece of jewelry that you no longer wear and would like to give it a new life, please feel free to contact me about custom design, jenecklund.designs@gmail.com.

"Vintage Brass Chain Swallow Necklace" - A lovely brass swallow has landed on an unusual vintage brass chain. The size of the pendant is complemented by the weight of this vintage brass chain. Necklace measures 20 inches in length. Stylish, pretty and unique.

Double Strand Multi faceted Heart Shaped Lemon Quartz and Pearl, Vintage Brooch Necklace and Earring Set -
This lovely necklace consists of 2 strands of faceted heart shaped lemon quartz, champagne fresh water pearls and a vintage brooch purchased from an auction. The necklace is finished with an ornate citrine and sterling silver box clasp. This necklace can not be reproduced and is truly one-of-a-kind. Measures 16 inches long.

"Vintage Coral Carved Flower and Turquoise Earrings"
- Vintage carved coral celluloid flowers with a cascading strand of turquoise, angelskin coral and sky blue quartz faceted briolette stones. Stones are inidividually wire wrapped by hand.

"Long Vintage Coral and Pearl Necklace" - I created a long chain to complement this gorgeous VINTAGE sterling silver, mother of pearl and coral pendant using genuine petite angel skin coral beads and white fresh water pearls. Each stone and pearl have been individually wire wrapped by hand to create a long, feminine, one-of-a-kind necklace. Due to the uniqueness of the pendant, this necklace can not be reproduced. 14kt gold filled wire and clasp.

"Vintage Engraved Brass Cross Necklace" - This beautiful one-of-a-kind VINTAGE ENGRAVED BRASS CROSS necklace is hard for me to part with. Purchased at an auction, it measures approx. 1-1/2 inches across and 2-1/2 inches from top to bottom (not including bail). I have attached a 19" antiqued vintage chain to the cross to give it an edgy feel.

Praying for Africa

Putting everything aside for a moment to talk about something that is gripping my heart that I refuse to be in denial about any longer...the oppression and darkness that has overcome Africa. Think about it, every 15 seconds someone in Africa is dying of AIDS, which has reached epic proportions. And then we have all the orphaned children who have lost both parents to this horrific disease.

Then we have the 'night commuters' as they are called, children in Uganda who walk 10 miles every evening from their home to some form of shelter to avoid being kidnapped in the middle of the night by the LRA (Lord's Resistant Army) who will turn them into children soldiers, forcing them to kill, even to kill other children.

Young girls are misled and kidnapped and forced into sex trafficking. They live in a constant state of fear. Fear of getting caught by the police and fear of their captors.

For more than a decade, the sale of illegal "blood diamonds" in Sierra Leone helped pay for arms and sustained a conflict which killed 50,000 people and was largely about winning control of the diamond fields. Rebel forces continued to wage attacks, many of which included the torture, rape, and brutal maimings of thousands of civilians, including countless children. Amputation by machete was the horrific signature of the rebels.

I've given money, is there anything else I can do?...Pray...Please join me.
